How we work We rely on getting to know our clients and the way they work. We understand their personal preferences and business ethos as well as the functional needs of their online solution. We design and build each website to meet the exact needs of the client. Unlike many other companies we do not use ‘off-the-shelf’ templates, therefore we are not restricted by style and content. There are several stages we go through to deliver each solution: Specification and costing We have an initial meeting with the client to discuss the functionality required, how the solution should look and feel, and what can realistically be achieved within the client's budget. Following this we produce a detailed specification and costing which is reviewed with the client. Once the specification has been finalised and the client is ready to progress we will then formally agree activities, responsibilities and key dates for delivery of the solution. Prototype We use a prototyping approach with our clients to develop the content and ‘look and feel’ of the site. A website is a very individual matter, and preferences vary greatly from client to client. The way in which this process works will depend on the client; some have a very clear idea about how their website should look, whilst others have a totally blank sheet and are open to a broad range of designs. The completed prototype will define a set of features which we can then refine into the final solution. We usually allow for two prototyping sessions, which is generally adequate for most clients. Competitors' web sites are reviewed to ensure that the client's web site will position them competitively in their particular market. Appropriate search keywords are also researched and defined at this stage, so that the completed website will achieve a high ranking in search engines such as Google. Build and review Once the prototype has been agreed with the client we will go ahead and build the production solution providing full functionality and content, then and test it to ensure that it works correctly and is optimised for internet search engines. The client is invited to review and test the completed solution, and to confirm that it is ready to go ‘live’. Deliver Once the solution has been formally approved by the client we ‘deliver’ it onto the client's web address and make it available to the public. This process includes setting up associated email addresses, and any internal content and document libraries if appropriate. If e-commerce setup is required then this is also completed at this point. Support and updates Most of our clients are setting up websites for the first time and have a few questions and queries after their site goes live, so we are happy to provide free after sales support to them. Websites require regular maintenance and updating to ensure they continue to perform well and stay current. Some clients chose to manage this themselves, however we do offer an ongoing support and service for an annual fee. Under the terms of this service we contact each client on a regular basis to review the performance of their site, and implement any updates and changes they require.
